Last Train To Nibroc
A quintessential love story in its purest form
By Arlene Hutton
Directed by Sasha Stewart

In December 1940, on an east-bound cross-country train, religious and bookish May shares a seat next to a charming young flyer, Raleigh, who has been given a medical discharge. They discover that they are from neighboring Appalachian towns, so Raleigh decides to change trains for Kentucky, promising to take May to the next Nibroc Festival. A year and a half later, they do attend the festival together where Raleigh reveals that he is working in a Detroit factory to support his parents; and May shares that she is teaching school and dating an itinerant preacher. The following spring, as they sit on May’s front porch, the two finally discover the depth of their feelings for each other.

Love Makes the World Go ’Round
A Musical Revue about the joys, tensions and rhapsodies of love
Created and Directed by Vanda Eggington

Don’t worry, boy meets girl, boy gets girl, boy loses girl; and, well, you know how the story goes! But in this wildly clever musical revue, it goes well beyond your wildest expectations. Be prepared to take the usual ride on the rollercoaster of love, but also beware of some unexpected twists and turns, and good old-fashioned romance as memorable Broadway tunes start your toes tapping and your heart thumping.
